Mercedes McHalffey - Medical Assistant
Mercedes brings a wealth of experience to our team, with 19 years spent as a medical assistant and Radiology technician in Urgent Care clinics. Not only is she passionate about Halloween, Disney, motorcycles, and family time, but Mercedes also boasts expertise as an office manager. Now, as both our Assistant Manager and a lead medical assistant, Mercedes is doubly committed to ensuring our patients and their families feel warmly welcomed into our community. Her goal remains steadfast: to create an environment where every individual feels like part of our family and enjoys their visits with Dr. Phan and Ms. Shayla.
Diana Salgado - Medical Assistant
Diana, a proud mom of two boys, brings 7 years of medical assistant experience to our team. She has a passion for working with patients of all ages but loves the experience of dedicating her care to younger patients and their families. Diana joined Lake Elsinore Pediatrics in July 2023 and her warm demeanor and dedication make her an integral part of our practice. As our back-office medical assistant, Diana is always patient with children, ensuring their comfort and well-being during visits. Her love for Halloween adds a touch of fun to our team's dynamic, reflecting her vibrant personality and commitment to providing exceptional care.
Alejandra Sedano - Medical Assistant
With over 20 years of experience as a medical assistant, Alejandra, best known as Alex, is a cherished member of our team. Having worked with Dr. Phan previously and blessed with two children of her own, Alex's love for kids shines through in her work. She's been enriching our practice since 2022, bringing compassion and expertise to every interaction. Alex comes with a wealth of knowledge of the medical field and is always looking out for our patients' best experience possible. Her dedication to providing exceptional care ensures that every visit to our practice is met with comfort and confidence.
Jose Sanchez - Administrative Assistant
Jose, our administrative assistant extraordinaire, is a multi-talented individual. A graduate of the University of Phoenix with an MBA, and pursued coding as a hobby, earning his certificate from TrueCoders. Since November 2023, he's been an invaluable asset to Lake Elsinore Pediatrics, bringing focus and professionalism to his role. Jose brings a unique flair to our team with his appreciation for music, Disney's Jungle Book, and the unfiltered humor of kids.
Natalie Izguerra - Referral Coordinator
Meet Natalie, our dedicated Referral Coordinator with 7 years of experience. Natalie is committed to providing top-notch care, treating each patient as she would her own family. Since 2022, she's been an invaluable part of Lake Elsinore Pediatrics, ensuring seamless care transitions for our patients. Claudia Phan - Office Manager
Meet Claudia, who brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and startup business strategy to our team. Her diverse background spans fashion, beauty, entertainment, and gaming industries, and she's thrilled to pivot completely into the medical field alongside Dr. Jimmy Phan. With a deep love for children, Claudia is passionate about supporting Dr. Jimmy’s dedication to patient care, allowing him to focus on his patients rather than paperwork.
Claudia's passion for creating a calm and welcoming space for children of all ages is evident in every inch of the Lake Elsinore Pediatrics office design. From the soothing colors to the playful decor, Claudia ensures that every aspect of our office environment contributes to a positive and comfortable experience for our young patients and their families.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Claudia is also a certified yoga instructor, specializing in teaching adults but with the capability to teach children's yoga as well. Her varied experiences include roles as a ballet teacher for little ones through teenagers, a camp counselor, and a teacher's assistant at an elementary school. Now, she proudly adds "mama" to her list of titles, sharing four beautiful children and one sweet dog with Dr. Jimmy Phan, who happens to be not only her business partner but also her husband.
